 The Sandy Springs Society thanks Northside Hospital for its generous support for the twenty first consecutive year.
Northside Hospital started a long tradition of serving the community when the first patient was treated in a newly constructed 245-bed, five story facility on July 6, 1970. In just forty years, Northside Hospital has grown into one of Atlanta's largest and most respected healthcare systems, comprising three community hospitals and 29 outpatient service locations across North Metro Atlanta.
A leader in the healthcare industry, Northside Hospital has been voted by Metro Atlanta consumers as the Most Preferred Hospital for Overall Healthcare Service and has received the Consumer Choice Award for the past three years. Additionally, Northside Hospital received the prestigious J.D. Power and Associates Award for Distinguished Hospital in Maternity Service Excellence in 2009. The hospital has also been selected for membership in the National Cancer Institute's National Community Cancer Centers Program, an elite national network of hospitals that excel in providing patients with comprehensive, leading-edge cancer care.
